Welcome to the newest addition to Better World, the "Better World Featured Site"! Here we shine our spotlight on the best that the Web has to offer, to help keep you informed and aware of the challenges that face us in our shared goal of making a better world.

The Environmental Defense Fund's (EDF) beautifully redesigned new Web site is the exception in a world of rules. Though the medium of the Web provides a perfect opportunity for the non-profit organization to "get the word out" to a large audience in the most cost-effective and in-depth manner, many lack the effective engineering and attractive, intuitive layouts that present the compelling case that the organization has to offer.

Not so with EDF. The home page greets you with a visually appealing graphic, and intuitve navigation allows you easy access the abundance of useful information that this well-respected organization--with over 300,000 members and a staff of 163 dedicated environmentalists--has compiled since it's inception in 1967.

One day, all non-profit organizations will have well-designed and useful sites on the Web. Let's hope that they look to EDF's example.
