This is an organization which teaches responsible recreational use of backcountry lands by mechanized vehicle. This is a good organization. As a long time responsible four wheeler I am offended that one recreational user is deemed "better"than another recreational user. (Hiking and camping are recreational uses). Moab has been a four wheel drive mecca for years, and you will find most all of the wheelers to be polite, responsible folks. Moab is aloo a town that needs the income that commerece brings in. Hard working people would lose jobs. The Four Wheelers as a group just wish to enjoy the land that belongs to ALL AMERICANS. Mark Wallace P.S. I will be Four Wheeling the Moab area this summer. I would like to ask if you're aware of a German farmer that rebuilt his Mercedes engine to run off vegetable oil. I only bring this up because I saw this presentation on our local PBS Channel KVIE-6 and the program was a German type 60 minutes travelog. If you have any hints as to the inventors name or address I would be deeply appreciative. First, as a graduating senior, I notice there is a lack of information on social and environmental justice employment. Its hard to find, and I think we need to impliment a system, because we all know that this world needs activists. Second, as a college activist I notice there is a lack of communication about projects. I want to coordinate, or find a resource for new activists. Basically, one page summaries of who did what, where, problems, solutions, hints, etc. What do you think? I have lots of ways to find this information, but I need the vehicle to pull it off. I think that the idea of global oneness kills the spirit of the individual. I think that the idea of do unto others is all that is needed. People who believe that global governments are the answers are not being very realistic. Personally, I don't care one iota whether someone in Katmandu agrees with, or likes me. My concern is whether my neighbors find me a likeable sort, and the rest of the world can mind there own business. I do enjoy learning of other cultures, but this idea that we can function as one is utter nonsense. I like my beliefs, and way of life just as it is. I don't need a global community to decide for me. I oppose the global movement, and it is an infringement upon my lifestyle as an individual. I do just fine without the intrusion, thank you very much.
